Emerald City Comic Con
« on: 21 Feb 2013, 16:59 »

Well fuck.  Sir Patrick Stewart, Walter Koenig, Gillian Anderson, Wil Wheaton, Jhonen Vasquez, Brian Clevinger, Danielle Corsetto, the list just goes on and on and now Jeph!  I'm having a really hard time resisting the urge to spend money and make it there.  Anyone else going to try and be there?

Ugh! I wish I could go again; last ECCC was my first convention and I loved it.

Do I follow the Yellow Brick Road? Seriously I don't know where this is, but I want to be there.

Aaaaand after a quick google search, there is no fucking way I can afford the trip, let alone hotel costs. A man can dream, though. A man can dream.

I've been thinking of actually going to a comic convention just to see it, but I don't know of any particularly close to here. Probably the closest would be in Dallas.

They're pretty cool if you enjoy comics/sci-fi/fantasy stuff.  I've only been to two myself, both when I was younger and didn't have problems getting out like I do now.  I was a little saddened to see how much an autograph costs now however. :-\  The two that I went to when I was younger were for Brent Spiner and George Takei and they did for free, which was very sweet!

Well definitely not making this one...  :-\  Probably for the better as I have no idea where I'd get the money from!  If anyone does go say "Hello" and "Thank you for your awesome comic" to Jeph for me.  I'm just sure hearing that, second-hand, from a guy on the forums is just what he needs!
