There's been several games of Mafia and all of them have been successful. So its time for a new game. This time though, there's a couple of minor differences. Namely, instead of a village, this game will be set in a college, cut off from the world during a severe snowstorm and stalked by a trio of killers. Due to the setting, there won't be any lynchings, instead, people will be locked in a room overnight. But this will leave them open to being killed by one of the trio (approximately a 50/50 chance).

The goal for the students and faculty is to survive until help can arrive by the end of the seventh day. The killers' goal - make sure there are no survivors.

Once a night, the trio will choose someone to kill, as per usual. The rest of the rules are the same as usual.

Anyway, I'll be looking for at least 10 people to play this game; but as always, the more, the merrier.

Not sure I'm in for this one yet, but I am intrigued. How exactly do you survive if you don't aim to kill the killers? Are we choosing who we're locking out, or what?

In short, there'll be a "deranged" survivor, who'll be after the killers. But for the most part, the rest are students who are just trying to survive. But as the days go on, they might have to resort to killing suspects as cabin fever sets in. As for locking up, it'll work like voting for lynching but people will be locked for the night while the others look for evidence.

There'll be clearer rules in the main game when it starts.

If it helps, just imagine it like a slasher film.

Thematically, I'm imagining that we're only letting them out if we feel they're not the killer after more discussion/evidence. Otherwise, they're merely screaming at us their arguments through the door. Of course, the actual gameplay mechanics may work against that and a different thematic view may be needed in that case, but my point is that with what's given so far, I can see at least one possibility that doesn't stretch ~~slasher movie~~ logic too much.

This is made a bit more amusing for me in that the university I'm at has told everyone to get out by 1:30 because of the snow, and, being a grad student, I don't get to leave for a bit of snow.

I mean, I am the newcomer. The newcomer isn't supposed to die that early in the movie. He is supposed to be used for character development, either for his own or that of somebody else.

You can never be naked. Ever. Even showing a hint of an ankle will get you killed.
Never answer a call from a number you don't know.
No drugs, alcohol or medication should be taken. This also extends to food.
Never, ever, ever say "I'll be right back". Because you won't. Unless you count in a bodybag or several chunks.

Guys, I think I have figured it out!

I modeled our group as a bi-directional node-weighted graph and optimized it for the nodes having the same weight, the weight being the number of neighbors of each node. The findings were astonishing. One of the easiest solutions for our problem is having all nodes connected to every other node.

If we want to even our chances of dying, everybody has to have lots of sex with each other. We just have to make sure everyone has the *same* amount of sex.
