Mini Painting!

Jotunheim:
Here's the miniature in question. Guess I'm gonna have to fluff in some mutation and special power armor what with him towering over the rest like that :p His heresy brings all the daemonettes to the yard.

GarandMarine:
Yes GW primer is fine on just about any mini. I like Grog prefer Krylon.

Neko_Ali:
As long as they aren't Reaper Bones. The plastic they use doesn't bond with primer very well, so it never seems to dry. They even talk about it on their page. They say the only primer that can be used is the Armory stuff, but you don't really need to prime them, they take paint well without priming. I picked up an undead queen from them a little while back, so we'll have to see...

Grognard:
krylon does a great job on everything I've tried.
? I don't think I've ever done a Reaper Bones.
Standard Reaper stuff (CAV, Chronoscope, Dark Haven Legends) all work fine with Krylon.
For me: it's a huge cost issue.
GW primer or Armory cost $15-$20 a can.
the top of the line Krylon stuff: $5.50 - $7 a can.
Additionally: one of my best friends is in the Paint Business (Glidden, Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore) since he was 7.  He's now older than me.  I've had him check and test the GW/Armory vs. teh Krylon.
Result:
as primer, they're functionally equal.  His opinion is that they are NOT worth the $7+ a can difference.
(course, then he tried to sell me HIS company's brand...)  :D

Jotunheim:
Might try to order some Krylon online, but I do also have to factor in shipping. I can mostly either get GW or army painter round here.
