bhtooefr:
My understanding of hazel is that the iris is a light brown, very easily distinguished from the pupil, whereas brown is dark and almost indistinguishable from the pupil.

Source: my dad has hazel eyes

(I don't have to worry about that, I've got blue eyes.)

Method of Madness:
Light brown is still brown though. I'm not saying hazel is always inaccurate, but.I'm not quite sure the distinction is necessary. Then again, my hair is light brown. I wonder if it's close to hazel.

Neko_Ali:
Well that is why I said my eyes were hazel when I was younger. They were golden-brown shading to greenish, depending on light. Not the muddy brown that they are now.

Carl-E:
My license still says blue, but they haven't been for a very long time.  Age caused the hazel and green flecks to gradually taker over the darkish blue.

But "speckled" isn't an option.

Doesn't matter, you can't see my eyes behind my glasses anyway.

Is it cold in here?:
Something would seem wrong about "You're my (beat) hazel-eyed girl".
