I'm actually with Unicorn on this one. The reasoning is getting ridiculous at times, and people don't seem to be playing characters, or getting when other people are playing characters. I'm not mad at anyone I just don't think the games are working how they should be.
I've gotten put up for a lynching simply because of my name, so yeah, I do think that sometimes, the reasoning can get extremely thin.
well see, that's the inherent paradox of the game; early lynchings are always going to be a bit arbitrary & built on thin reasoning, but if you don't do it then the killers get to run free without danger. we gotta lynch
someone, and at this point one person's just as good as any other.
my reasoning for picking on unicorn this time was extremely thin, but it was the only reason available at that point (the name thing was just for fun, as it fit in with the ferry tail setting).
last game i arbitrarily picked linds, just because it amused me to dredge up a grudge from way back in game 2 by way of the whole vampires vs werewolves thing. that backfired on me & i had to sit the game out, but it's the first time the villagers ever won.
the fact is that the only time the villagers have won is when we got aggressively paranoid right from the start.
and i'm saying that as the guy who spent almost the entire thing on the sidelines.bringing out the worst in people is half the fun of a game like this; you don't want to get lynched, then go on the offensive.
Warning - while you were typing 3 new replies have been posted. You may wish to review your post. yeah, sitting out a game or two does help recharge the batteries a bit.
and if there's no hard feelings unicorn, i'd be more than happy to play your game next.
