I love Marten's face in panel 3.2, and Claire is absolutely adorable in the last panel. Great reaction by Marten, great comic.

She TOTALLY grabbed his butt at some point. This will be a major plot point later. Or not. Good comic though, Claire is so freakin cute.

I feel badly for Claire, but I thought I'd just throw in a thought for Clinton earlier because no-one else seems to care, and he's probably feeling pretty shitty about what he's done right about now.

It's because I care about Clinton that I made the remarks I did. I don't think he *is* feeling bad about what he did... he's oblivious. Though if he saw his sister in tears, and knew it was due to him, his whole world would collapse.

His heart is in the right place. He's just socially really, really inept, on a very basic level. Wouldn't surprise me if he had ASD.

Hmmm... I can think of no-one in the comic who is a complete Richard.

That tamper-proof seal sounds like it could get really inconvenient.

Maybe Clinton should upgrade his hand's software with a social protocol database.

Well, he was oblivious at least. I am still hoping that he no longer is about this particular thing at least, but I admit that I wouldn't bet my house on it. On reflection, you are probably right.

Everything else you said I agree with 100%.

Comic: I wish I could say that I needed a tamper-proof seal. :/

Has Claire worn a shirt with text on it before? Pretty much all the other characters do regularly, while claire seems to mostly wear plain shirts. Also, first post.

My apologies. Blame it on my mild Aspergers. Or rather, my ineptitude at compensating for a really mild case of ASD. When I was Clinton's age I was a lot worse at it, but obviously still have a ways to go. *SIGH*. Sorry.

She's worn a "Readercon '09" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Readercon  T-shirt. I knew nothing of the event and had to Google it, but it seems just the sort of thing that would appeal to her.

Though given what she's said of her past, 2009 would be sort-of-around-aboutish the time she began her transition, which may have some significance.

Generally, when one awakes in the middle of the night, whether one finds a cute girl snuggled up to you or not, doesn't it mean that one has a need to "break the seal"?

Martin's tamper-proof seal should have been broken come morning whether Claire did it or not.  :-D

Is there anyone in this strip that isn't medicated?

Marten,
Steve,
Pintsize,
Winslow,
Angus,
Marigold,
Tai,
Sven
Wil
Penny,
Raven
Jimbo
Dora

The list of persons taking medications is much shorter:

Faye (actually I not sure if she still is);
Hanners; and
Claire

Yeah, I was probably being a little harsh. For some reason I thought there was a Dora storyline about using an anti-depressant, but I can't find anything in the archives about it. I did find a reference to Raven smoking marijuana though.

Maybe I was thinking of this (Dora "self-medicating" with alcohol) -- http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=298

I'll go crawl into my hole now.

Didn't Faye just self-medicate with alcohol? I don't recall any part of the plot that she was on actual pills or anything of the like, and I vaguely recall her being almost afraid to go to a therapist for fear that she would be put on medication. It even appears she doesn't drink as heavily anymore since her therapy and relationship with Angus, to me, at least.

Edit: I stand corrected (see next post)

One reason I like these forums is people always link back to earlier parts of the story line, and I read through the parts of those arcs after not having done so in a while.. and then find myself in fits of laughter all over again, it's amazing

yeah, that one was quite nice. When I first read through the whole comic I felt like the current style was too polished, but now I like it.

I think it is something subtle in the proportions that I like. The new style is definitely "better". I think there is something just more visceral about the old one, maybe it is the recognition of an artist coming into his own in his craft (compare to the really early strips with are artistically lacking).

Of course, if you can't find what you need on the internet then the batmobile is the logical next port of call!

Even with all the snuggle-drama going on (side note, I think Marten is doing a great job handling this) I really want to know what Emily's other questions were going to be...

This becomes even more confusing, if you have internet access inside the batmobile.
