They seem ok so far, had it 2 days and it seems to have kept it's tuning pretty well at least. They feel pretty tactile in the hand too.
It was at my local guitar shop, it's used, but there's only a very small amount of wear on it. It was up for £129, but I offered 100 and he took it, so I'm pretty happy with that! I looked on ebay and could only find one for sale, it was in the US up for $500...

I've seen them used for decent prices. You just have to wait around, really (it's how I got my Pro V, anyway).
KingOfIreland:
Holy fuck you guys I just put 9-42s on my Hagstrom and it's amazing the difference it makes to my playing. While I'm usually sloppy when soloing in my multiple over drive and fuzz filled rage, it just means I can overbend notes on purpose much easier now, which makes me go over all Jimmy page on stage.
Also set up my effects chain completely differently. Ehx Holy grail first in line, so I can really modulate the reverb more like you can on a bigger amp where the preamp is ahead of the effects loop. Then my Germanium OD to add ridiculous dynamic range, followed by the little big muff to compress everything I've done with that. This causes the big muff to really gain a huge amount of subtlety when you're strumming basic chords or lightly picking out a solo and also thundering ridiculous overkill fuzz tones and lets you control the feedback way better. Follow this with my blues driver with the tone set to neutral but the gain set to max and fuck.
I'll try to record a sample of what I mean tomorrow. Basically every bit of common sense I had about effects chains was wrong.
