Detachable Felix:
Dude, awesome sound. But once again, Australia and their inability to import these things. D: D:
And the one that I can find is in the low $1000s. fucking price mark ups.

Taekwondoin:
I'm looking at some aussie guitar shops online now. These markups dude... an epi 339 comes it at nearly $900AU, it's just under £300 here. Even the Classic Player Fender series which are all around the £500 mark here are way over $1k for you guys.

I think I may have to go back to my original statement, and Epi Dot/335/339, and if you get one in under budget, then I'd use that to start the mods.

Detachable Felix:
Iunno, maybe I'll just save up for another year and get something top of the range. You know, spend a completely justifiable $3,500 AU on a Maton BB1200 DLX. I got to play one once and no other guitar I've ever played has come even close to the sound that that beast produces.

Well dude that's what I'm doing. I want a jazzmaster pretty fucking bad, but I don't want to settle for anything other than the Troy Van Leeuwen signature that Fender have just released, but at £900 it's a little more than what I can afford right now.

Those Maton's look ultra sexy, I wouldn't settle for less if it's what you know you want.

Kwaping:
^^ Agreed. If you already know what you want, then anything else is just going to end up a waste of money. Hold out and save up.
