Clinton's fanboyism at getting a glimpse of a family member suggests he's not well acquainted with the family.

Hm, I dunno - I think someone who is closely related to a fan as hardcore as Clinton would be likely to know the full name of his heroes, and Hannelore isn't exactly a common name. In fact she's quite possibly the only one Claire has ever heard of, so the surname would naturally spring to mind.
