Consider that maybe Dale was the first one ever to treat May as something other than a "dumb machine." May's positive response could just be that she's being treated well for a change. Dale may be no fighter plane, but he is a respectful and nice guy!

Sorry... in my lack of sleep induced state, it seemed like the thing to say....
On comic, though, yeah, I agree this one had more "feels" than Friday's. However, something tells me we'll see her again.

This one definitely had more Feels than Friday's. Though May might be having "I'll be good" syndrome - the tendency for hardcore criminals to start acting better as they get closer to their parole hearing, especially if they think they'll get a release from it.

Both are quite common in the UK as well, and have been for quite a while (cf the comedy drama Auf Wiedersehen Pet which started in the 80s).
