My older dog Polly likes to whine at you with a toy in her mouth - if you take the toy out of her mouth she will (almost) shut up. Sometimes when visitors arrive she will rush outside to greet them without remembering to take a toy - then in order to whine at them she will pick up a leaf, just like that dog.

maybe its just where I am but when the weather report predicts snow (key word "predicts" not to say it actually does snow) people all flock to the grocery store as if its Armageddon like 2-4 inches of snow will make them starve, so they better go now or else they'll run out of food in the next 24hours before the roads are plowed and salted!
