I always replace lettuce in my salads with spinach (if available) or cucumbers, because I dislike lettuce. I also never order salads at restaurants (unless there is a salad bar) because they can't do that for me.

I think over here they find women dont use there pockets that much because they have their purse and so some brands will have fake pockets in the front. Though I so usually see the back pockets to be functional. Not sure if it saves money on production of jeans and jean shorts.

That's just how English happened to end up, "Science" is not the norm among Germanic-speaking countries. It's Naturvetenskap here too. Nature Knowing, basically. The Natural Sciences. Though for a general term like Science we usually just say Vetenskap. Scientia just means knowledge in Latin, as well.
