Emperor Norton:
I feel kind of bad that I wouldn't even be able to answer the question. Closer to Marten's side though than Emily's.

Like, I should probably remember that shouldn't I? But I just start going through my female friends going "have I kissed her? I can't remember? Oh yeah, that one time at that one party... how about this one... uh... maybe?"

cesium133:
Well, since we're all sharing... I'm definitely closer to Emily's side than Marten's. I had a girlfriend in high school that I kissed, and that's about it. To make it worse, we never actually kissed until after we had been dating for about six months. I was afraid to make the first move, and it turned out she wasn't really that interested...

edit -- I've been reading through the archives of Dumbing of Age recently, and just realized that Amber and Ethan are like a reversed-gender analogy to me and the girlfriend I had in high school.  :psyduck:

Zebediah:
Hmm. I don't really know how many women I've kissed. Somewhere around Marten's number, but I can't give a precise count.

I can say with certainty how many women I've kissed in the last 10 years, because it's 1. As for how many times I've kissed her in those years... Hell, it's got to be well in excess of 10,000 by now.  :-D

Is it cold in here?:

--- Quote from: Neko_Ali on 05 Nov 2013, 06:27 ---Ummm... I have to say, I am getting rather uncomfortable as to how many people are playing the 'how many of the girls that Marten has kissed are actually guys' questions here. Emily want to know how many girls Marten had kissed. Marten said they were girls. That means they were girls. If he meant different, he would have said different. If they were trans women, they were girls. If they were drag queens in drag at the time, still referred to as girls.

I have to agree. I mean, I suppose any of the individuals he kissed could have identified as something other than a woman and he may not have known, but I highly doubt that's even close to the meaning we're meant to walk away with. It also leaves room for saying someone was deliberately dishonest about their gender for the purpose of getting a kiss from a man and that is NOT an acceptable message, period.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I don't think anyone was actually thinking or intending that last bit of what I said. I was just giving a reason why I felt that line of conversation may not be something we want to continue.

That is a worthwhile reminder.

2)It might just be perspective playing tricks on me, but it feels like Emily is getting taller (or is Marten getting shorter?) every time I see them.
imagine the awkward+qurirky+super-tall scared off a lot of boys in high-school (and still does).

Emily's eyebrows are about level with the top of Marten's head in 2569, 2203 and 2207.
