(click to show/hide)So, Asoka survived. That leaves a lot hanging in the air if/when the Series resumes and leaves a lot of questions in regards to the upcoming Movies if they leave it at that.

Yeah, it was pretty intense. It was pretty much 'Second movie in the trilogy' levels of intense. And like Empire Strikes Back, nobody walked out unscathed. They really hit their marks a lot faster with Rebels than they did with Clone Wars, which should be no surprise to anyone. Now the agony of waiting till the new season arrives later this year.
(click to show/hide)I've seen people trying to explain how Ahsoka is actually dead, even though we clearly saw her walking away into the temple at the end. Dave Filoni has already said they are not done with her yet, though we won't find out her eventual fate for some time... So I don't expect her to show up again until the very end of Season 3, if then. She might not even show up in the show at all again, and just have a book or comic reveal her final fate.
