See, I kind of like the little 3D pong animation, but I don't understand what was up with the hand twirling the dancers were doing or why they hardly ever moved their feet since they were supposed to be dancing

There are now three people with dynamic GIFs as avatars which have not been sized down to fit the space, and hence are 2MB each in size. I often find myself waiting for a page to appear because one of these large avatars is on a somewhat slow server which specifies a short caching period (and hence frequent re-downloads).

Free program. Selecting "good quality" actually made a smaller file for your avi. The forum forces a maximum size of 100x100, so that's what to go for.
