This was last Sunday ... I managed to do an orbital (explanation of the move) while spinning fire for the first time and someone caught a picture of it! I can't think of anything I'd rather have someone photograph me doing, and it just randomly got caught on film the first time I actually pulled it off. Awesome.

There are actually 2 people in the third photograph down in the top right of the picture, there were around 10 people sat up there for some reason. The rest of the crowd, including me, were sat behind whoever took the picture and there was a fair contingent.

Was that the game that got a bit rowdy too? I remember one of them wasn't as non-contact as the rules define.

A lot of people seem to separate internet-self from real-life self, but I generally don't. In this case for example, would you think it creepy to see some girl on the street and think she's cute? No, there's nothing wrong with that.

Jesus, I did for the same reason I put up Ansel Adams photography - it's not 'cause of the subject, it's 'cause it's a well put together picture and I felt like I wanted something new. Do you want me to take it down? It's not like I'm furiously masturbating to my desktop picture, it's something I happen to see when I don't have a window up and like it to have colours and shapes I like, which that picture happened to have. I wasn't expecting any sort of backlash because I wasn't even think of it in terms of being a creeper.

I can see both sides of this. Yeah, I like it is an awesome picture/album cover of a pretty girl. If the girl was totally ok with it, then yeah, sure why not use it? But it is weird when a stranger is using a photographer of you. Like in these sort of cases you gotta think, what does the subject think of me using her photo?

correct me if i am wrong but last time i checked, photographer's rights in most countries state that any photo a photographer takes in a public place becomes the property of the photographer, not the subject. as long as dude is okay with people using his photo and they ask permission there isn't any real reason for this to be a a weird thing, especially since it seems like everyone is only enjoying it on a personal and private level. go through your photos, i am sure you have hundreds with background characters who have no idea you have pictures of them, some of whom you have probably never even met. it doesn't matter, because the photographs belong to the person who took them.

To each their own on photographs taken from the internet. If you want to use that photo as your wallpaper, fine! But don't freak out just because some of us find it odd. It's a beautiful photo of a pretty girl, but it's not a stock photo, it's a snapshot. Impersonal vs. personal, that's what is odd about it to me.
