Good beards take some serious understanding from your loved ones while they develop. Gene seems like he would be a pretty hairy fellow genetically, so there is enough hope for him that I don't vote for shaving.

Chris has crappy facial-hair genes but stuck it out long enough that now he's got a respectable amish beard which I am in love with. So there.

I agree with everyone in this thread.

It has the potential to look awesome in a few years but isn't really there yet. This effort (which I should note I shaved off about a month ago) was considerably more successful than the last and so I'm happy with it.

Also the point was to illustrate the awesome bedhead and the not so awesome bedbeard. It looked the slightest bit more full when it was combed properly.

Fun fact: When I started at SAE, I made them make name-tag I usually wear say Dovey because no, my name is not Dave. But this was for an Open Night when we let prospective students take tours of the place and we have seminars and Q&A sessions etc. and having that is easier than having people try to pronounce Dovey correctly. But yeah all of the students+my workmates call me Dovey.
