It's perfectly elegant and dramatic without being stiff. It says 'I am a free-minded individual who doesn't need a corset and huge dress to fit the mould'.

Seriously, a good scab and a zit with some pop are like, I guess, my favourite forms of self mutilation (or whatever you would call it). Like really, it all grows back and everything but there is something satisfying about removing something from your body that shouldnt be there.

I think the same way (to a degree), but it is because of that mindset that I now have arms covered in scars and scabs, and have people who hold my hands so I don't pick at my skin in front of them. It is not the best habit to get into.
Also, it is really hard to explain to people what you are doing, because saying "I compulsively pick at scabs and pimples on my arms" sounds pretty gross. People generally just tell me that it is a bad habit and that I should stop, and don't understand that I have been doing this since I was maybe 13, and have tried to stop on more than one occasion, so it's not really that simple.
