This picture of me is from April 5, 1984 on my first birthday. The bull in this picture (his name was Curly) was born on the same day as myself. He got a lot bigger by the time he finished growing and ended up being abnormally large even for a Simmental. The old man in the picture is Jesse King, my grandfather on my mother's side. He was full blood Cherokee and died when I was 6 if I recall correctly. It may have been a bit later, several years of my younger life kind of all mesh into the same lump of memory if you know what I mean. Either way that was pretty traumatic cause he was awesome.



You can tell Curly is a bull by looking at his ears obviously.

Ok, so my mom and I went out to Iowa this summer to go to Antiques Roadshow and we had stood behind someone as they were being filmed. And here we are!



Finally found the episode we were in online.

Linds I hope you weren't too disappointed to find that that piece of cardboard was neither old nor valuable.
