Jeans to work, fuck the system!

jodizzle:
Paul is rocking at LIFE

pwhodges:
When I was training at the BBC in 1969, I had to spend a few weeks working in the overseas services (Bush House, for those who know).  I used to wear brightly coloured patterned sweaters, which went down particularly well with the people in the African services, some of whom occasionally appeared with elements of colourful tribal dress.  I, however, was called up before the bosses and told I should dress soberly.  When I asked why, as I was working in a technical capacity in a studio cubicle, I was told that I had to be ready at all times for any event, such as having the ruler of, say, an African country which was undergoing a revolution, in the studio in front of me.  When I pointed out that they were probably used to more colourful dress than mine anyway, I got disapproving glares - but my response was entered on the record, and I continued as I had been doing; and as I have done ever since for that matter.

Dollface:
Paul = thug life.

Some days I bow to the man and put on a shirt with buttons on it.
