Mamiya in fact. Hasselblads break down too often to my tastes; they aren't nearly as good as their reputation. When medium format was still in good shape, Rollei was king. Better optics, and superior bodies.

This is actually a really nice picture of me in addition to being a sweet fire picture. The guy who took it (see watermark) is easily one of the best photographers I've ever encountered, and fire is a specialty of his. This was taken this part weekend at a local burn (when I say "burn" I mean "Burning Man affiliated regional event") called Playa Del Fuego, where a really talented pair of fire photographers set up a lighting stage and shot fire spinners all night for the whole weekend. I'll be posting a couple more from this weekend at some point, I expect.

Somehow I managed to be looking right at the person with the camera without realizing it. Unfortunately, for most of the day, I wasn't in the same area as this photographer, but there was another one that was on the same side I fought on.

I went to a wedding a while back. A cross-dressing wedding. This is me on the minibus up to the wedding, which was in a huge big house in a gated community in a really posh area. I was a lovely lady.

There was enough bad facial hair that someone had to bring it.
(it was a giant hammer, pretty neat with the metallic duck tape to make it look like a real weapon and not just a giant black foam block on a stick)

I went out jogging in a t-shirt in 11°C, and my younger brother went to school in just a t-shirt. In fact, the average temperature this summer was 8°C in June and 13°C in July. Yay, climate.

It is between 0 and 5°C now, though. I kinda like (proper, cold, non-wet) winter, but not fall when the summer was just skipped almost entirely. July 28th, one of the only days we were able to head out to the sea house:

Why, yes, those are felted wool slippers. It was 14°C, both in the air and the water.

That is some crazy summer weather. We had record snows last winter, and record highs this summer. It's now settled into proper fall weather, with nighttime lows of like 45F/7C, which wouldn't be bad if I could just stay inside. But no. In fact, it's almost time to suit up for another night freezing my butt off in the damn woods.

I would have died in all that in 51 weather! You must be worse than me when it comes to being cold. (I get cold in 70 degree weather sometimes...)
