Hey guys, have I mentioned that I moved to a new apartment?

An awesome new apartment.

That's the view from my back porch (note: I have a back porch!) For size reference, here's a peek down the main hallway:

This is a two bedroom apartment in the middle of Chicago. I am pretty jazzed. The two main downsides are that I'm no longer right next to a grocery store, and this:

Every time I walk up it I imagine myself crashing through to the realm of the Mole People.

ADDITION: Whenever I see a photo of myself taken at that angle I marvel at how far my glasses displace things.

I feel kinda weird posting this picture because there are a bunch of people in it I kind of know from school but not really. It was taken by the band at a show I went to last November. I am behind the girl in the red hat. Also, someone's arm is right in front of my friend's face.

That white shit is there because it is a scanned polaroid and I am too lazy to get rid of it.

I like "dark" sand.. It's really beautiful. I remember I was on a beach where the sand was black and the water with a very nice green/blue tone. Everytime there was a wave, the colour changed from blue/green to black. It's really nice imo.

The octopus kicked ass, even if it didn't have 8 extremities or lack of skull on it.

Thanks for all the 'pus appreciation. I was worried we wouldn't get any good snapshots of it - literally 5 minutes after that last picture was taken it was completely submerged. The tide does not fuck around, guys.

I'm actually at the Antarctic Center in New Zealand, I'm a liar. A nice lady brought out the penguin. Also his name is Pablo.
