How long does it take to do your horse's mane like that?
Anywhere from an hour to two hours, depending on how much other prep work you have to do to the mane. Also, the number of braids varies from horse to horse, depending on length and thickness of the mane. Chris, in the picture, has about 20 braids. Luckily, this is not my horse (I was pretty much just borrowing him for the show), so I did not have to braid him, yay. However, when I do show my own horses I have to do all the braiding on my own. I will have terrible arthritis in my fingers by the time I am 35.
