T dot's a small world. Us nerds gotta stick together. I felt like sucha tool though because if I was like solo and not about to die of hypoglycemia I would have been so much more friendly. People On The Internet look down on skullcandies and all, but I've got a pair of Skullcandy GIs (I think they are)that have lasted longer than any other pair of headphones I've had. Skullcandy are great.

I got a pair of Skullcandy Lowriders for my birthday and they snapped. I sent them back, got a replacement pair, and they broke in the same place. The sound quality is bloody fantastic, but they're made out of useless, crappy plastic and thus are a bit of a waste of money.

If the caption of the photograph is anything to go by, fencing has become a lot more brutal since I last tried it.

Or a lot more drunk.

EDIT: Oh shit, I just thought of a new form of fencing! You have your sword in one hand, and a cocktail in the other. The only way to score points is to use your sword to knock the cocktail out of your opponent's hand.

If someone put that into practice I'd be sorely tempted to give fencing another go.

My hair is curlier than normal as of late-

Last week was the warmest first week of March in recorded history for our area, so I decided to take advantage of it.
THE HIKE PHOTO DEPOSIT OF BUTTERFLIES AND RAINBOWS

This last week I went on a hike with one of my best friends, Jess.
This is Jess, she is a lesbian superstar

We hiked on the... border, I guess you could say, between the foothills of the Rockies and the mountains themselves, just outside of town.
The mountains as the sun is beginning its journey over the horizon
At the start of the trail
You can sort of see town out on the horizon
We will climb this mountain soon

We also got to see the "ectozone" (or something like that) which is the point at which the plains become the mountains. It's apparently a very unique ecosystem.

We eventually made it to the Reservoir, which is quite low right now, which is worrying as the Winter runoffs are supposed to fill it in time for Summer. Looks like a drought again.

This, it pretty much sums up how my mom, stepdad, nana, and grandma feel about my half sleeve. My dad loves it though because I only got my tattoos because I grew up with him having tattoos.

Are there seriously jobs that won't hire someone with tattoos on their arms?

I only ask because I've been in the service and manufacturing industries since I got out of school so I am not sure what it is like in commercial or retail but it would seem a really weird hiring policy for almost any company I can think of.

Maybe it is different in your country but here if your arms are covered in tattoos and you have a faceful of piercing, one of the guaranteed jobs you can get despite your appearance is in a cafe.

Not talking about some bohemian coffee shop or some crap either, just a place where suits get coffee. Typically suits like being served by people who are noticeably different to them in some way.

It really depends in the US. Some retail/service jobs don't care. Others do. If you want to keep your options open, it's best to only get tattoos in places where you can hide them easily. Then, once you've been offered the job, ask about policy as far as displaying tattoos goes.

Pretty much I have only had jobs (I've only had 4 jobs) where I've worn long sleeves other than my first job (and a 30 day job with UPS), and most places I've worked pay a bit more but are pretty adamant about appearing very "vanilla" overall. I think most corporate owned places like to make people look plain, because it keeps them from having to create policies about displaying tattoos.

It very easily avoids things like: "may not have offensive language, religious connotations, blah blah blah" if they just say "do not show tattoos when in uniform."

There are also places that just don't care. Many bars and clubs I have found are like this. Apparently, when you are applying to be a fireman, if you have tattoos, they ask you why you have it, when you got it, and why you wanted to get it in the first place as part of the psyche evaluation.
