It's sold in the states but the stuff that passes for real absinthe here is trash and even getting that is more of a hassle than is worthwhile.

That may or may not change soon though.

Real absinthe is not really anything to hoot about, most of the crazies were from improperly made absinthe or turpentine.

It just tastes like anise that's about it

Yeah, real absinthe tastes really awful. It's only good because you can get it at about 60-80% alc volume here (about double normal spirits) meaning you get trashed fairly effectively, especially if you use it as a mixer.

But at that point I would think that Clear Springs would be a better option. It's practically tasteless if you mix it and absolutely throat destroyingly horrible if you drink it straight.

i'm pretty jealous. the closest thing we have to trails is the university forest that borders our backyard. it has a few running trails but nothing scenic... we did however find the NROTC ropes course. most of it is locked away, but we have ladders and we can climb trees, so its an accident waiting to happen.

Western Maryland is pretty good for that kind of stuff, and Northern Maryland (at least Baltimore and Harford County) have a lot of cool places to go, also. I will try to find some pictures over the summer.

The student union here does the "The Big Cheese" which is basically just 90s music.

It is the biggest night out in Edinburgh, and has a queue at least a 20 meters long every saturday night.

The 90's were pretty good. Some damn good music came from that decade, I know that much. Also, 90's fashion is not NEARLY as cringe-inducing as fashion from the 80's. If the 90's come back, I guess I'll be okay with that.

Also, for the record, I liked the '80s and '90s a lot better than the '00s in terms of music, which is pretty sad, because a lot of '90s music was pretty dire. On a personal level, this decade has probably been the best of my life, but the soundtrack could have used some improvement.

I shave every summer. I had something going for a while this winter, nothing notable though, nor consistant, and I had that a la Souvarov going until a few weeks ago when it got too hot for me to have any facial hair.
