So the story behind that suit is that when I was in Rome in April with my family they totally peer-pressured me into buying the suit for around $600 from a really nice Italian label called (incongruously) David Saddler. Ever since my dad discovered the label when he was in Rome a few years ago we've always liked to shop there on those very rare occasions when we find ourselves in Italy, because (A) they make really nice clothes, and (B) our surname is Saddler (and David is both my middle name, and my dad's middle name).
Then I had the wedding of an old family friend a couple of months ago, so I bought the shirt, shoes, tie, and belt in Melbourne specifically to wear with the suit.
And ideally you should iron the major creases out of linen (like those you can see at the top of the trousers), but leave it looking a little rumpled.
