This made me think: If you're wearing formal trousers/jeans, is it ever acceptable form them to be a lighter colour than your top?

I like the shirt/pants color combo in #1, but I have trouble with the black pants + brown shoes, spiffy as they may be. If you're set on those shoes, I vote for #3. The pieces in #2 are a little too close together in tone, it comes out a bit monochromatic.

I think you should go for some darker colours. Perhaps through a few cool chains in there to let them know you mean business. You might also want to wear a rad jacket so that you look like you're from the future.
These are just suggestions, you could also go for something completely different!

One time while hiking with a good friend I found some of those Old People Sunglasses that you can put totally over your glasses and I wore them for months like a boss.
