I like the neckline in the photo you posted above, though. People without much boobage can easily wear low-cut dresses without looking trashy (I'm jealous), so I'd try and rock something plunging if I were you!

I think any of the cuts other than the second in that picture from chowburger would be good! The second is just a little too informal to be all-occasion and I think the lack of waistline looks unflattering on just about anyone.
The other three are super cute! They have the structure Brittany mentioned too, with the more solid fabric and more complicated seaming.

That fourth LBD is basically the dress of my dreams. I just need to find it in meat life (or sew it I suppose).
What are people's thoughts on pearls with a LBD for formal events? Is it still chic, or too old lady?
Also, no to the white, maybe to the red. Just think of the time you would have to spend cleaning the white ones to keep them, well, white.
