So this isn't quite fashion but hey whatever: Dear fashion thread, what do you think of [http://flight001.com.au/shop/Toiletry+Bags]these[/url] Dopp kits? Particularly the red one. Stylish, or garish? I'm kinda flippin' between the two.

Is AoM's website usually completely unwilling to load pages until you try three or four times? I like it, but not enough to work at it for 20 minutes to get a single page to load.

So, how are you supposed to clean leather? Aside from dry cleaning, because I think that it would cost as much to take this jacket to the dry-cleaners as it did for me to buy it. Doesn't really matter any time soon, since it is too hot to wear something that warm for another few months, but I'm on a roll cleaning everything else, so why not the jacket too?

So, how are you supposed to clean leather?

Get this stuff called "neatsfoot oil" It cleans and restores leather. My dad gave me a terrible old leather jacket to clean up and now it looks pretty good after a coat of that stuff.

Soaping and oiling is what makes leather smell, well, like leather. It will probably do a good job with some saddlesoaping first.

If you get saddlesoap, make sure to read the instructions. If it says anything about rinsing or water or anything, they are doing it wrong. Some brands give you "lather rinse repeat" guides and that is not the way leather works. If you want I can tell you how you are supposed to use it, but if the brand is worth anything they will also be able to tell you on the bottle or the package.

I use saddlesoap and leather oil on my boots, belts, wallets, and jacket. You could probably also fix up leather bags or purses with it too.

Cool bag! Brown leather satchels = love. I also suffer from a bag-buying addiction... eh, I buy most of them in second-hand shops anyway, so it's not going to bankrupt me.

My favourite bag (this is the only stupid photo I have of it):

Dude, I wish I could still fit into my eight-year-old clothes. Though, now that I think about it, floral leggings really ain't my thing any more.

Today I went H&M-whoring, and bought what is now known as my Patronus t-shirt:

(Suddenly I don't think I have any right to laugh at what I wore when I was eight.)

And a birthday dress that makes me look like an orphan. Albeit a stylish one. What would you guys wear with this? What even goes with brown? I really have no ideas, I just thought it was pretty.

Love that dress! I'd say that a brown that dark counts as a neutral, so you could wear just about anything with it without looking silly.

I probably could still fit in my eight-year-old shirts, since back then the fashion was shirts going to your knees, and you would usually stretch them out pretty well doing the human egg thing. They would end up being tank tops, though. And I wouldn't even try to fit in my eight-year-old pants. That would just be masochistic.
