Yeah, I agree.  The high socks and suspenders are for comedy, I prob wouldn't wear the shorts, but I figured someone would like 'em and the shirts, shoes & belt are all things I'd wear.

I had a pair of shorts like that but black. They looked awful but they were super comfy, and after some incidents of clumsiness they got relegated to being skate shorts, and they were actually pretty great at that. They were nice a light and really cool.

B_B those shorts are fine by themselves; you don't like them, but a fair amount of people who know how to dress do.

Sorry if I think that dressy shorts becomes an oxymoron once you graduate from grade school.  I guess Angus Young might be considered a rare exception.

ETA:  I am not against shorts, just people considering them dressy.

Dress shorts are one of the most attractive thing a dude can wear.

I guess we're all entitled to our opinions.  I think that shorts look okay on some people (the dress shorts do seem to be pretty much the only option here), terrible on most, and not actually good on anybody over the age of 12.

Shorts are fine. If it's summer and it's casual there is absolutely nothing wrong with shorts. Unless they're cargoes or denim or those australian flag boardies.

They can look very good on a person with a good build for them.

Are we going to have the denim shorts debate again? Because I am wearing denim shorts right now and they look fine. I never understood the denim short hate. Cargos and the Aussie Flag boardies are pretty bad, I agree, but not the denim shorts!

Exactly my point.  I never said they looked bad on everyone.  Not looking good is not the same as looking bad.  They can look acceptable.

Sweat shorts are perfectly acceptable in the gym, or when you're in college and aren't trying.

Shorts are acceptable in the same way that hip waders are acceptable. There's contexts out there where you're OK, but that doesn't mean that you can wear them in other contexts and expect people to take you seriously.

Denim shorts are certainly acceptable on ladies but there are few instances I can think of where they look anything but awful on males.

Axe/Lynx advertisements are indirectly responsible for the advent of the bro.

Once people are convinced that it is acceptable to behave in the way portrayed in Axe commercials, being okay with saying "bro" is but a small step away.

Guys I am currently wearing this (except the pendant is prettier and there is also a mustard yellow cardigan). Thoughts?

Also, ideas for ways to wear this dress, which I recently acquired?

(if Modcloth were a person I would marry it.)

PS: good places to shop online? I like to pretend I have money while looking at pretty clothes, and the net is a comfortable place to do this. (no salespeople with judging stares asking you if you need help all the time)
