The offers are already up (though the website appears to have been beaten into submission by thousands upon thousands of eager students).

Try this link.

I've been offered a position as a full time student for a Bachelor of Medical Science at UNSW. More offers to come, I'm really hoping to get into the same course at USYD.

This is a little exciting.

I have two more days this week to sort out my enrollment before all the school leavers start trying to do the same. With the state that the uni's enrollments system is in (no more paperwork, do everything online; online thing is broken and shits the bed completely at anything nonstandard. My enrollment right now is roughly the definition of nonstandard) this is going to be a Fun few weeks for student services.

Yay! Incidentally, Jens, your sig quote makes no sense out of context.

Guys, we have nine hockey games between now and the end of term (that's nine in seven weeks), and I can't go to two of them. We're playing the same four teams twice and then we have Varsity. It's going to be a tiring term!

Speaking of tiring I went for a twenty minute nap at half past one and woke up at four.

I only get bitchy when I get told how I'm so mean, and how I need to go to the doctor for him because my headaches and making me miserable, and seeing me hurt is making him upset, and how can I be so mean as to not want to stay on hold for 40 minutes with an excruciating headache.

Oh heya blog thread, I am here blogging from a hospital bed, just chilling, me and my roommate and some excellent, excellent hospital pudding. Turns out I got into a minor car kerfuffle (minor because there are no broken bones or things of a serious nature, car because there was a car and I was a person on a bike so like I was never gonna win that battle), but I do not remember and now I am a person who looks like a stomped-on tomato. Anyways, I will probably take pictures and share, but mostly I am blogging because I think this is a turning-point in my life! I am thinking about transferring universities because I haven't made a single real friendship here and I spent every night of the last week crying in bed and unhappy, and if things went differently today then I could've been substantially less alive, possibly dead or paralyzed or de-limbed or something.

Anyways, that isn't the case, I so gotta try living a little better and doing myself justice! No more daydreaming, gotta do shit for real.

Man, I don't know what to do or say or how to act right about now. I guess my former stepfather is fairly likely to die soon due to cirrhosis. On the one hand, he raised me since I was 3 and I guess his family is more or less my family whether I like that fact or not. On the other hand, he was always a financially successful and high functioning drug addict, so when he turned out to be a fairly terrible person otherwise blanket denial was more or less the order of the day on that side. So, basically, what I'm saying here is that I really want to gloat, but doing so would make the family Christmas party pretty awkward. I'm guessing Miss Manners would probably say to be nice, but I kind of feel like I should get a pass here. I mean, I have a 1 inch scar on my forehead that covers the mild groove left on my skull from the time he hit me with an ash tray, so I rather feel like dancing on his grave should be considered no worse than a minor party foul.

Man, pay phones. I had to get some change from the porters so that I had 40p in the correct coins in order to make a call just to be told to ring back in half an hour, and then I had no change left so I had to go buy some junk food from a vending machine in two separate transactions to get another bunch of change in order to make another call.

The irritating thing is that last year, there were landline phones in all the student rooms and the cost just went onto the college bill. Since I rarely if ever make phone calls it would have been cheap, and immensely useful now that I have to make a call to people who won't communicate by email.

Jodie I'd say that sucks but all those exclamations make me think you're excited about it. I sprained my ankle last week, it was pretty average.

Oh exclamation! Tonight was the first time in a long time (~10 years) I have had a real problem with a sound dude at a gig. It was like he was retarded or on drugs, and this isn't an exaggeration. He genuinely seemed confused when I brought up things that we'd agreed on ten minutes before and couldn't grasp simple concepts. I had to play without my effects pedals as a consequence and this made me really shitty.

On the plus side the pastizzi cafe was open after and I bought a crapload of pastizzis and devoured them.

Hey Blog Thread,

Sorry for all the bad stuff that is happening.  I hope everything turns out OK in the end.  Get healthy soon Yunior.

As for me I have been editing my show.

My current title for the opening of the first episode of The Name Pending Show:

She is Hulu-Hooping to "I Can't Wait!" by These Estates.

I also filmed a skit with a talking Sandwich.

I have got footage of some local comedians, musicians and other stuff.  I did an interview with a comic who was on Last Comic Standing and I am going to get some footage of a guy who was on American Idol.

Things I have done today:

Successfully made it through a supervision I thought was going to go horribly
Ordered a large quantity of weapons
Run for an hour
Arranged all kinds of exciting stuff like lunch with a friend I haven't seen in ages

Things I have not done today:

Attended any lectures (I had one, and it was cancelled anyway)
Written the essay which was due yesterday
Done the reading for said essay

Things I am still going to do today:

Eat out with the ice hockey team
Locate a garden centre
Write afore-mentioned essay

Best thing to do is nothing.
Dance on the man's grave, you're the asshole. But you're not an asshole. Not attending his funeral would send a pretty clear message and upset people on it's own. Anything on top of that is just assholish. The man's going to be dead. You'll no longer have any relation to him. He'll be nothing more than a sack of meat. There's no 'him' left. Nothing you could do could do could possibly get at him. It'd get at your family though. Much as you might dislike the guy, you don't want to punish other people once he's gone by being angry at a corpse.

If you have anything to say, say it to him now while he's still alive to hear it.
If it's worth it, I mean.
It probably isn't.

Get on with your life! The asshole is not a part of it!

So, the boyfriend who was previously upset with me about the whole calling a doctor thing tried to schedule me an appointment with a doctor on his own today. I gave him a list of doctors that I approved of from the website where we are supposed to look for doctors, and he went through the same crap I did when I called various doctors. Someone told him to call back in April, another was disconnected, two of them were hospital only doctors, and another an oncology doctor!(Then why are they listed under general practice!!! Grr) He was very frustrated by it and could see why I was so anti doing it now, and things are all better!

You're discouraging me. I was planning on finding a doctor this month. Maybe I will have better luck.

In this post, I display copious amounts of optimism.
