You're going to Marianopolis??  Or do they offer the science/music thing elsewhere as well?

Oh no! My average is not high enough to go to Marianopolis! They offer that science/music program in Vanier College and in Cegep Saint-Laurent. I only have to choose in what language I want to go in, since I've always stdied in French, but my Engish teacher and my friends tell me that I'm perfectly fluent in English and that I could keep up with the courses. I do not think I am fluent enough.
I'm supposed to meet the guidance counselor December 2nd during my Contemporary World class to clear thing up.

Dunno, you certainly write a lot better in English than some of the anglos I know who went to Brebeuf wrote in French.  Plus, if you aren't perfectly fluent now, you will be by the time you get out of Vanier.

I used to think I already knew how to play Xbox really loud. I was wrong. I also learnt to avoid games with silent load screens. That or how to stuff my fist in my mouth so as to not burst out laughing.

Yeah, I'm immature. What of it?

Hey now!  I like PBR, and I am generally the person who knows what alcohols taste good.  I can't drink Morgan, because I don't enjoy brown liquor, but it is perfectly decent for a spiced rum.

I am going to do a double DEC (Diplome d'Etudes Collegiales) in Science and Music.

I got my undergraduate degrees in Physics and Music, so yay!  Also, it was tons of work.  Luckily the physics degree didn't really require much outside of class.

I like PBR a a LOT but I also like good gin and extra like Knob Creek bourbon. So all ya'll can suck it, I drink more than the lot of you anyway I'm pretty sure. I don't mean that last part to be a good thing. One does not drink DELICIOUS and also EXPENSIVE beer when you just wanna get drunk, ya know?

Also hearing people have sex is the most hilarious thing ever. My ex's neighbor did not like me at all because of the noise.

No way.  PBR is a delicious beer for the price.  Hell, I usually have to pay more than a dollar extra per drink to find something better.

Trying to be quiet is hilarious and almost never successful.  I've found that the whole "we have to be quiet" goes out the window pretty much immediately.

No, I do like people who unfortunately like PBR, but I do not listen to them on what alcohols taste good because mine are usually waaaaay different, especially when it comes to beer. But then again, I think there are very few beers that don't taste like piss, but whatevs, liquor is better anyways.

Other beers that I will drink when I want to GET DRUNK are Grain Belt, Schlitz (when I am listening to country music, as the beer that made Milwaukee famous made a loser out of me) and Old Style. Honestly when I hear people simply not liking those things, I just assume they don't actually like beer. And that last part was written before Linds' post, so thank you for verifying!

I mean, obviously I'm not going to recommend cheap beer to someone who doesn't even like beer. If I'm with my friends who don't drink and want an alcoholic drink that doesn't taste like alcohol I'll have em get something I wouldn't ever drink in public, like an amaretto sour or a tea.

If we're going to list just the basic alcohols we enjoy, it'll take me a few pages.

I'm not above cheap beer - actually, in my circle of friends, Busch Light is kind of the standby - but PBR is just downright disgusting to me.

I'd go with exactly the opposite.  In fact, of all the cheap beers I can think of, PBR is the only one I don't hate.

Dear Blog Thread,

It is my birthday today where is my thread why don't you love me

Seriously though, this forum has fourteen parodies of that house thread and not one masturbatory procession of inane "happy birthday" posts? Fuck you guys.

~

Dear Blog Thread,

It is my birthday today and to celebrate I made everyone at my usually-very-casual office wear suits 'n' ties and stuff. It is Formal Friday! I have done this before so this is actually Formal Friday II: Sartorial Boogaloo. Also I brought cake into work, so I can pretend like people are coming to visit me and pay tribute to my wonderfulness. Really they just want cake.

Tonight I am going to dinner with my family at a really neat restaurant that cooks the food at your table on these hot stone dealies. I guess it is kind of like tepanyaki except without the knife tricks and it is not Japanese. After that I am going to see my favourite local bands play their last show of the year at my favourite small music venue. After that I am maybe going to a a karaoke bar, although that is entirely dependent on me being precisely drunk enough to want to sing in front of other people, but not too drunk that I don't just want to go home.

I also bought tickets to see The Dirty Three play "Ocean Songs" in it's entirety at the Perth International Arts Festival in February. Woo!

~

Oh geez I had something else to mention but now I forgot. Crazy! I'll be back, Blog Thread.

Dear blag,

That woman keeps yanking my emotions around on a fucking chain. God I'm so glad it is over. I can move on to somebody who isn't, in short, frank terms, a complete whore. I mean for fuck's sake, she cheated on her Other with (at yesterday's count) 6 people. 6 goddamn partners ASIDE from the person she was "officially" dating. That's twice as many as I've had in my LIFE, and she does all of this in just the space of a year. Fucking... yeah, no, I'm better off dead than with her. Fortunately, I don't feel any need to pick between the two.

I just don't understand how I allowed myself to think that this time, she'd be any different. I don't think she's ever been faithful to even one boyfriend, ever. And the guy she cheated on me with? God, the idea of being within even 2 feet of her is so utterly repulsive to me now that I can't even be friends with her. Not after all the reassurances and the lies. At least now I know what tone of voice and demeanor she uses when she lies.

My roomie and I have spent the evening sipping on peppermint schnapps (not sure how we wound up acquiring this stuff...) and talking about whatever is up.

Love,
Me!

I'd think carefully before moving out over this. I know you wanted to move out soon anyway, but having moved abruptly due to my dad's reaction to something (not coming out, oddly, but getting my nose pierced) I can say that it creates a lot of drama. It certainly did for me anyway and it probably will for you as well. Your father will most likely calm down, even if he never accepts it or even is prepared to believe it, and trying to move out on reasonable terms is better than moving out in a storm.

Parents never like hearing that kind of thing, I think. If it isn't homosexuality that they don't like then it will be something else.

Guys, it is a lovely sunny day (freeeeeezing but sunny) and I have decided I am officially not ill any more, so I've tidied my room, eaten some food, done a perfunctory amount of work and am going skating after my supervision and a delicious afternoon tea with the ballet club. Then there's charity cake tasting tonight in the bar (mmm cake). Tomorrow is busy too, and so is Sunday, and then two supervisions on Monday and then other than lectures on Tuesday and Wednesday term has FINISHED.

Ugh, my life IS drama.

I don't see how moving out like this would make a difference anyway. I might get to eat sooner than later.

Edit: My birthday was 2 days ago. I spent it, uh, alone. Can I just say that I really hate my life and everything about it without any dramatic backlash?

I don't think he was looking for birthday greetings addressed to somebody else. I could be wrong, maybe all he was looking for was somebody to say 'happy birthday emilio' to him, but I know I at least prefer the personal touch.

Slept through most of Friday because I don't like my roommate's girlfriend and my other roommates maybe girlfriend. Think next time I'll just leave all day instead of sleeping. As it stands I am holed up in my bedroom with the lights off because I don't want to deal with any of them.

CAN'T WAIT TO LEAVE

What about orgasmic chemistry.

I can expand the definition of that if anyone wants to roll around to my Fortress of Love.
