Patrick, how the hell did you get fired from McDonalds? It takes fuckin' effort to get fired from that place.

Also, to be fair, if she is pregnant, would you want her to have the kid? She sounds pretty fucked up and probably not the best person to raise a child, and if you don't really want anything to do with her a child is only going to complicate things. Also blah blah blah her body her right to do whatever she blah blah blah

Actually, it is pretty effortless when they neglect to inform you that your schedule's been changed and so you miss two days of work, back to back. They had already disposed of the previous, unaltered version of the schedule, and the schedule slip I was given had so many handwritten alterations on it (with the added bonus of not having any initials written by a manager or one of the two owner/operators) to start with, so there really was no way to prove whether or not I was telling the truth about it not being on my schedule slip.

tl;dr I think THEY put effort into me losing my job. They probably found out that I know one of the owner/operators has a history of fucking a manager or two every so often.

You know, the whole abortion thing wouldn't have even been an issue, because you're right! It is completely her choice what happens to her body. You're also correct that neither of us are ready to have a child. And if she's ever legally entitled to be anywhere near any child of mine for any period of time, then this world ain't worth living in. But it's the fact that we never so much as talked about any of it that pisses me off. Maybe it's ridiculous for me to be so upset over something that small, but damn it, that girl has never once shown me anything resembling common courtesy, and so the fact that the issue was so large when the gesture would've taken no effort whatsoever... yeah, she is not worth my time.

Oh also I am going through the motions of enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Because I really have that little going for me right now. Unemployment (bonuses include the recession and the fact that it is the off-season) and impending eviction are two major factors forcing my hand.

Considering what you're saying in the relationship thread, doesn't the air force or army have a presence in or near Albania? With the language you've picked up plus some additional training, you might have a really good shot at getting deployed there by choice. Worth talking to a recruiter about if you're at all serious about this route. Otherwise, I say try to get over there on your own if at all possible. It really sounds like a place you belong.

Blog thread, today I went shopping with my mum for clothes for my birthday (which isn't for months but she won't see me again before it) and got some lovely warm jumpers, long-sleeved t-shirts and a dress. I am finally starting to amass a wardrobe that is suitable for the weather! I'm typing this wearing a rollneck jumper, a fleece jacket and a woollen cardigan, and a pair of woolly gloves. It's COLD.

Also I got a haircut. I now have a fringe and fairly short, layered hair. Crazy.

Everyone joins for different reasons, friend. What I would give some consideration to is that the reasons for joining, the reasons for staying, and the reasons for making it through are not necessarily one and the same.

If you would like a measure of insight, admittedly from a British perspective, drop us a line.

so they canceled the final exam tomorrow due to snow.  make ups are JAN 30th.  :|
The professors is putting it up to a class vote via email.  either the class takes it Jan 30th or we keep the grades we have and he throws in a curve to represent the final.  I voted for the curve, we will have to wait and see what his decision is tomorrow.

May, I like your hair! I don't think it makes you look younger, though.

Yeah, it's going to snow here, too, which sucks, because I have to drive in it tomorrow. Which sucks because I almost got smashed into by an SUV this morning and I don't really want to drive in the snow when there are people who drive big, scary vehicles and don't really know how to drive.

So I remember that like a month ago there was some discussion as to how people play quidditch in our real life.

The guy who throws the ball at her in the end is a guy I went to high school with.

I am at the goth club. There is a girl here wearing a boa and not much else. The fire dancers just left the stage. There is a guy here wearing short short short shorts. And they keep playing not very goth music. And we broke a table.

Ps. I am a little drunk. After two drinks. I ate nothing today and am sick though.

Pps. I think his shorts are boxer briefs.

Also, it has been snowing all night.

I have singed myself before. It kind of hurts! I don't recommend it!

I, too, am feeling like crap. Most of my friends have gone home (out of state) for the holidays and the ones who are still here for whatever reason have decided not to talk to me. But my best friend is coming here from Illinois next week with her husband and daughter (my goddaughter) which will probably cheer me up. Also my job is stupid and I want to leave. But mostly I'm just lonely and this is pretty much the reason I don't like the holidays. :( Also this appears to be the season of many funerals. I don't like funerals...

Me too, even though I've got two wool blankets over me. My parents are working themselves warm, so they refuse to acknowledge that it's fucking freezing here. Working on the computer does not make it less freezing :(

Oh, and I'm fucking sick of being compared to people who are super outgoing and social (such as one of my brothers or a childhood friend whose mother just came by and talked about how great her son was, and how he came home for Christmas, ate a meal and then left to hang out with friends), as if I'm somehow pathetic and less worthy than them just because I don't come home, have 20+ friends here and spend all of my time with them. Sure, I wouldn't mind being a bit more outgoing and social, but I also don't hate my life and I'm actually relatively comfortable with not being like them.

I'm talking with my mom at this very moment over AIM, and she's saying there's a slim but reasonable possibility that I could move back to Albania permanently. I have connections and such there, and I know a network of Albania's best and brightest musicians (as well as a number of Kosovo's, too). I'm really considering that option, and you have no idea how appealing it is to me right now.

Hell, it could make a big stir in Albania if some of my best buddies from the show and I formed a band. Wonder how quickly we'd storm the music industry with a supergroup like that. We did it at a bar one night playing "Zombie" and got an exceptionally warm reception, so hey, it could work.

It's great that you were there to help him out, Jens; imagine what it would have been like for him if no one was around.

I didn't get much work done today (if I continue to work at the rate I've been doing so far this holiday, I might have finished revising my first term by the time I graduate, except I wouldn't graduate because I wouldn't have done any of the rest of the three years' worth of work) but I did finish booking train tickets around the country for when Jens is here, and sorted out where we're sleeping all but one night (including me getting to visit a friend I haven't seen in months on my way home :)) so that is good. Also I wrapped presents for my mum and stepdad, which is the extent of my Christmas shopping so far. I'm really not very ready this year. It doesn't feel much like Christmas, it just feels like I'm living in a chest freezer. Actually it isn't too bad today as we have all three stoves lit, but the downside is that the pine smoke is irritating my eyes. Can't have it all ways.

GOING TO THE SYMPHONY MY LIFE IS COOL

What are they playing?

So, I had to administer the final exam and I think there was some important information left out of the exam, so I made up some values to give to the class.  I'm really hoping that the information was necessary to complete the problem, because otherwise I just screwed up one of the problems for the entire class.

Hey guys!  It was my birthday on Thursday and Aaron gave me a big plush catbus as well as made me amazing derby shirts, one of which is a really awesome Lil Outlaw shirt which is raaaad.

I had my birthday party last night and it rained and half my friends who promised they would come didnt come but I drank 3 quarters of a bottle of bacardi and I was very drunk and then sober and then hungover and then I went to bed!  We had a bbq nom!

Also, my job is the best.  We got our Christmas bonuses on Friday.  $400 Christmas bonus WOOOOOO! Thanks awesome job.

Guys, do puppies ever shut up?

It was bad enough when they were stampeding each other constantly like The Who were putting out a free concert, but now they've gone into full riot and scream mode. Seriously, my house is filled with the sounds of puppies being ground up for meat while alive, because they feel like making as much noise as possible. The last litter wasn't like this, I don't know why this one is...probably looking at each other all, "I've seen you motherfuckers for five weeks now, and when I snap, you're all the first ones to go."
