I fell of my skateboard on the way to work. I rolled with the fall so I didn't get all cut up, I was also falling on dirt and grass, but of course, there just had to be someone else right there as I fell. This is how life works.

So there's this manuscript for a novel that I've been working on for the last few years (though it went on hiatus for a while around the time of the Australian federal election in 2007, for REASONS), and now after having taken it apart into its constituent pieces and worked on them over and over for numerous drafts I'm finally at the stage of putting the whole thing back together again and seeing if it all works. And oh fuck this putting it back together is such a headache why is it taking so long to figure out where all the bits go it's such a hassle why did I ever take it apart in the first place grraaaaaAAAAAARGH.
Hopefully it will all be finished in the next month or two, at which point I'll start trying to find a publisher. (For the new kids, if it gets published it will be my second novel and third book. Sorry, I just like saying that!)

I torrented a bunch of shit on Vuze when I had the bright idea of torrenting GarageBand. I mean, my CD drive is broken anyway so I can't install my completely legit copy, so why not? And I can just transfer the finished song files to my PC in a .zip folder to burn them when I'm finally finished with that album that I've been trying to make for 3 years.
In other news, I really love having my own computer again. I can do whatever I want with it.
