Elliot also hears yelling (Bird), and since he hasn't actually seen anybody alive in the last two days, he goes to investigate.
Method of Madness:
Broseph walks over to the group and observes, not quite sure what's happened.
Game and Watch Forever:

Mieville heard the sound of squawking... in what sounded to be human. This made absolutely no sense to him, but there you have it, a yelling bird. He thought about catching that to give to his human, but based on the creature's tone, it seemed like Mieville would be better off not putting that in his mouth.
And then the smells caught him. His human! And his human's kin... though something felt wrong. He approached the building, following discreetly behind a human as they walked through the door.

A bike goes speeding by, rider peddling madly.

A rock smacks into the door.
