Vera means true in Italian. Veronica means true image. -o not -a because image is male. Somebody made up a story about a piece of cloth showing a picture of Jesus because a woman wiped his face with it on the way to the crucifixion. If the name "true image" was made for this fictitious woman as part of the story or if it was added later I don't know.

Of course, while Sam is impressed with Dora's "psychic abilities", Jim will undoubtedly be suspicious that either (a) Dora knows this woman somehow, or (b) Dora's been stalking him. (For maximum drama, he would jump immediately to b.)

Veronica Lodge in the Archie comics is sometimes called Ronnie for short, IIRC.

In other news my favorite thing in today's comic is that Sam is already on Faye's shoulders by panel four and that is both hilarious and adorable~

Or else grown the beard all the way out. This in-between stubble just shows a serious inability to commit.
