I meant the SNL snarky church lady skit.  Not the stereotype.  :-P

Perhaps WASP was not a good nomenclature. Farcical rich republic church lady maybe.

The sarcasm is strong within this one.

Actually, my sister would defend that teenager music in the early 2000s was basically Greenday and Offspring. And then Offspring. And Greenday. And maybe some Greenday too.

She has long transcended that phase ofc, but she does remember it.

Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks I guess. "Real Punk" to me is more on the lines of Siniestro Total and the likes.

I could try to find which of the songs on my youtube playlist would be more annoying to put here as a "peace offering" (meaning that I understand that I'm not one to judge and I just hope the same from you) but I have a lot of hard drumstep in it.

Oh god, It really, really doesn't matter anyway and which. I realize that the Offspring are not 'real' punx, but then I don't care for 'real' anything anyway. Also, my iPod has both Spice Girls albums on it. And Xasthur. I don't care.

Oh, Simple Plan. I definitely enjoyed my fair share back in the day (I had a soft spot for "Perfect") but they were leagues behind The Offspring. I saw them live a few years ago and they were incredible. Dexter did an acoustic version of Gone Away that was amazing. He sat down at the piano and started playing the song from Peanuts first though...so funny.

Funny enough, I saw Iggy and the Stooges as well and while I had a moshing, jumping, enjoyable time....it just isn't my cup of tea.

I don't bother much with classifying bands that fit what is considered the "real" version of what they do. If they make my ears happy, I'm in. And in fact, I actually prefer musicians that blend different genres. More interesting!

Still won't put it. It would override any squee not being exerted from Hanners, and those would probably blend in with the high chords. I'm pretty sure that the burst in pressure cooker is 7khz, and the one in spooky jack to be slightly higher.

Indeed. And in a stunning turn of events, that's the exact reason why I believe Skrillex is actually a musical genius, if only in a general style not appealing to most.

He investigates and innovates. And when he's not trying to sell his craft to 15 year old drunkards who only care about jumping up and down, he creates wonderful pieces. And even some of those can be fixed by taking out a single sample (such as Equinox, which would be perfect if only he hadn't put the "Call 911 Now" scream).

Personally, I'll never get tired of Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, Rock and Roll (will take you to the mountain), Summit or Recess, to name a few. I agree that Recess might be the less intended to just listen and enjoy and that's why I put it as example.

Summit, on the other hand, is official sound track for introspective night walks.

You have flexible definitions of "innovate", "craft", "wonderful" and music too.

I'd sooner jam a fork in my ear then willingly listen to Skrillex or any of his ilk. The fork is closer to actual music.

Much like Terminator 3, it doesn't exist. At least that's the vibe I'm getting from your post Beopuppeh.

And I disntinctly remember my sister not owning it so it must be true that it doesn't exist.

No Spice without Geri, no Skyclad without Martin, no Marillion album past the bonus disc of Brave.

Terminator 3, however, was funny as fuck.

I would probably ignore that, but world-famous movie director from my hometown Nacho Vigalondo did say that T3 was cool so to me it's a bit like schroedinger's movie. It doesn't exist until it's not observed.

And while it does sound like "I know this dude and you don't" (which is utterly false since I don't know him either), I just point it out because there aren't many world famous people hailing from Cabezón de la Sal, Cantabria (Spain).

I regularly listen to 'Too Much.' Considered covering it but it's not in my key and really requires multi-part vocals.

Oh god, It really, really doesn't matter anyway and which. I realize that the Offspring are not 'real' punx, but then I don't care for 'real' anything anyway. Also, my iPod has both Spice Girls albums on it. And Xasthur. I don't care.

Not even the Clash? Buzzcocks? The Jam?

On the other hand, the Pistols and Ramones mostly annoy me.

On the other other hand, I care less about whether it's authentic than whether it sounds good.
