The earliest I can remember was either the Grimm Fairytales that they used to broadcast on Nickelodeon when I was very young, or something I saw on the fuzzy channel at around that same time called "Tank Police" if I remember correctly.  I'll never forget one scene when the veteran guy and the girl with a bomb strapped to her neck are getting shot at.

Vet: "Oh no! Red Commandos!"

New girl:"Red commandos? What are they?"

Vet:"Just what I said, commandos that are red!"

Did you know that that dord has been a link on the front page for a good amount of time? I believe the horse has been there only a few days though.

Ayrton Senna.

Every sport has rules.

Absurd? Maybe, but it's done all the time, even in Formula One. Sometimes for "safety", sometimes to make the racing more exciting for the spectators, sometimes to contain costs.

F1 doesn't have a top speed limiter on race. Massa's 235mph mark on Monza would say that.

Semantics.  As Akima rightly stated, F1 has added rules to cut speed before and will do so again.

It's part of the reason they stopped using real engines and went to those Coffee Grinder Powerpac Engines.

Not exactly the same. An actual top speed limiter evens top speed across the board, resulting in a much different type of race. Limiting the ruleset in a way that throws slower cars I'm perfectly fine with.

And Kugai - Technically, the Coffee Grinder Powerpac Engines give out more top speed (except for Monza because the dudes in Mercedes cars couldn't be arsed to shift to 8th). Things about turbos, they're weird.

What kind of bullshit is that? A motorsport with restrictor plates?

Dale Earnhardt, Rodney Orr, Neil Bonnett, Tiny Lund and Joe Weatherly would say hi, but they're kinda dead.
Dale Ernhardt and Neil Bonnet died after restrictor plates were introduced.

The plates make racing "tighter" on superspeedways, which arguably makes it more dangerous. But Ernhardt's death, at least, brought some safety innovations that helped... "safer barriers," HANS devices, better harnesses...

Too much on topic for a no-topic thread. Have a video of a fat preacher yelling at another (homophobe) preacher. I may or may not be the white guy.

Although I really need this tab stacking on Opera Next. I've resorted to use firefox to read the forums and I'm not a huge fan.

I couldn't find the pic that I wanted, but as long as we're talking about browser this feels fairly accurate, sorta kinda maybe.

And if Pintsize is any part of the internet it's 4chan. I do know we were talking about browsers, but 4chan just fits him so well.

Personally, I found Chrome a system hog.

I've been using Firefox for nearly decade now.  Did use Safari for a while, but I found it a little too basic for what I wanted and went back to Firefox.

IE I won't touch - not after the chaos it caused me when I first started on the Net in the early 2000's.

Firefox is superior for development; if it works in Firefox, it'll work in every other browser 99.9% of the time.

And the addons are optional, you don't need them for Firefox to do everything you need (except for the classic theme restorer and putting tabs under the address bar where they should be).
