LTK:

--- Quote from: Carl-E on 25 Jul 2014, 10:39 ---Midges actually look like super-tiny mosquitoes, and yeah, the dirt thing.

Some varieties bite.

--- End quote ---

Yet you can clearly see the wings on those, and they look about one and a half times as big as the bugs I'm seeing. They're also higher up on their legs, whereas these ones are totally flattened against the surface they're on.

This is bothering me more than it has any right to.

Noxx:
On her deathbed at 86, my Grandmother reiterated to me that there is nothing after life, that she would simply cease being. It was pretty damn unsettling coming from someone in that position. Intellectually I agree, emotionally, well, F that.

Carl-E:
When I no more behold thee, think on me.
By all thine eyes have told me, think on me.
When hearts are lightest, when eyes are brightest, when griefs are slightest,
Think on me.

In all thine hours of gladness, think on me.
If e’er I soothed thy sadness, think on me.
When foes are by thee, when woes are nigh thee, when friends all fly thee,
Think on me.

When thou hast none to cheer thee, think on me.
When no fond heart is near thee, think on me.
When lonely sighing o’er pleasure flying,
When hope is dying,
Think on me.

 - Misattributed to Mary, Queen of Scots.  Most likely written by Scottish poet and composer Lady John Scott, c. 1910

Barmymoo:
There has been an odd smell in my flat for the last week or so and I haven't been able to find the source of it - I cleaned the fridge, emptied the bin, purged the drains, cleaned the bathroom and still didn't find it. Today, I did discover the problem. Did you know that cauliflowers rot from the inside out?

Noxx:
It would seem they are like brains in more than appearance.
