--- Quote from: BenRG on 08 Feb 2015, 23:42 ---That aside, there is a teenage feel to this exchange that makes me think that Marten is new to emotional intimacy. Although he is sexually experienced, that was mostly physical with the added benefit of friendship.

New Relationship Energy can make anyone feel young again. Marten and Dora were totally head over heals when their relationship was new, and he's described the first months of his relationship with Vicky in glowing terms.

I'm always amazed at how quickly people edit the past to declare things like "Marten was never in love with Dora, see how he acts with Claire" (I think this was in another thread), while ignoring that they absolutely had similar chemistry near the beginning of them dating.
Welu:
I'm a bit late but I've never found glasses to get in the way during sex, they've never fallen off or fogged. They might get smudged with all the body parts flying about but it's still better with them because my vision is so bad I can't see my partner without them. Plus I know my partner likes the look of them, especially looking over the glasses while making eye contact.
On today's comic, I'm really proud of Faye.

--- Quote from: downtowneddie on 01 Feb 2015, 12:15 ---I think we'll stick with the Faye story arc for a bit. Here's why: Last week, Jeph tweeted, "[This story is] coming from a personal place, yes, but I finally have the distance necessary to write about it." There is something emotionally cathartic about writing about things that have happened in the past and this might be Jeph's way to achieve peace (for lack of a better word, sorry) with what happened to him a couple years ago.
(If this has been brought up in previous WCDTs, sorry; with the flurry of new posts, it's been difficult to track what has been opined!)
--- End quote ---
With apologies for quoting myself from last week's WCDT, I believe that Faye's story is a retelling of Jeph's own experiences from a couple years ago. The commentary below the comic on this one is, simply, "been there, done that." Is this Jeph's way of achieving closure with that? Possibly...
The beauty of Q.C.'s storytelling as of late is that not one word more than necessary has been used. Thank you, Jeph.

--- Quote from: Gladstone on 10 Feb 2015, 05:05 ---Good on Faye, that took guts. My prediction for the rest of the week:
WEDNESDAY
THURSDAY
FRIDAY
Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You'd better make sure BenRG didn't beat you to the punch with his own post. Gosh, wouldn't that be embarrassing?
--- End quote ---
My prediction for Wednesday:
Faye sees Claire walk into the apartment's bathroom wearing a bedsheet (and obviously naked underneath).
Faye says something along the lines of "Woohoo!Little duck got some! Way to go!"
But Faye being Faye it comes out snarky, Claire get so embarrassed, she then blushes SO hard that her whole body turns red.
And redder, and redder, even more red, and then so red that she shifts into the infrared, and disappears!
Thus starting the superhero arc of Pizza Girl, VespaVenger, and The Invisible Librarian (a.k.a. The Dewey Decimator!)
SJCrew:
I have not seen a fairy tale romance such as Claire and Marten's in sometime. It gives me hope for love again. <3
