The way most if those are set up though, the girls all have a 'reason' to hang around the guy in the first place and frequently an even worse option waiting "back home" for them to come back and enter an arranged marriage or something so I always figured they really weren't all that attracted to the guy as a person, just to the relative safety and stability he represents…
