Woke up at 3am last night and thought, "That sounds like rain... But inside?"
Water tank in attic has a hole in it, water was leaking through the ceiling in two areas. Got the tank empty and have no running water. Have to completely replace the tank which thankfully will happen tomorrow. Got a couple bottles of water from mum to get us through the night.

I got a patio door replaced yesterday. The guys did a really quick job, got everything sorted...until I asked why there were this plastic wedges holding the door panes in place. "Oh yeah, turns out you're supposed to have 28mm glass for the double glazing and someone mistook the 8 for a 0. Long story short, it'll be about 2 weeks to get the new glass cut."

So while I technically have a working sliding door...I also have half a door...

Yuck.  I hope it's all taken care of expeditiously.

I've got a similar story involving a roofing job and stepping out of bed into mud.  Inside the house, on the bedroom floor.  <cue the original Danger Mouse: "Well, there's only one thing for it, Penfold."  "What's that, Chief?"  "Panic!">

Got the new tank in. The hallway needs some cleaning cause it's carpet and got soaked but we've got running water again!

So I moved back to my hometown (ugh), but I have a nice roommate and the rent is cheap, and there's SIX KITTIES OMFG YESSSS. And I got my old job back at the restaurant where I worked back in 2016. I had stopped by there for a beer, and one of the managers came up to me and said, "Hey, if you wanna work here again, we'd love to have you! Just say the word!" Next day, I texted him, said the word, and I start soon.

This time around, I'm making it my goal to spend as little time away from home/work as possible. Or at least, stay away from the people I used to hang out with, who only ever wanted to do stuff involving booze. I like drinking way too much, so I need to not be around those folks anymore.

To be honest, the older I get, the less I really want to be friends with people IRL. Like, I still have those people that I'm close to, and I love them, and I'll still hang out with them. The ones who are actually good for me. But I'm not the social butterfly I once was. I'm not interested in making lots of new friends. I just wanna stream when I play flight sims, write and play my music with my new band, and love on these kitties.
