Thrillho:
I super empathise with that last bit.

I would like to see people too, a little, but like... please just come to my house.

I've been to cuddle parties two nights in a row. One host supplied a weighted blanket along with giant stuffies.

It's been a little under a month since I updated, but a decent amount has happened. I started back at my old restaurant, and it's a lot like riding a bike. You don't really forget how to do it. With old age and world-weariness has come a lack of motivation to chase skirts (you would not believe how sexually charged a restaurant workplace can be unless you've worked in one) and so I'm staying out of trouble. I do have a crush, but I'm still not really over my breakup, so I'm just gonna continue doing what I do best: stay home and mind my own business.

My band's going really well. Got a super rough demo recorded at our last practice (just a stereo mic in the corner of the room to record everything), but as rough as the quality actually is, it proves to us that we have something special going on that goes beyond just playing together in the moment. Our set is about 30 minutes of original music, which is really impressive for only playing together for 2-3 months. We're looking for shows in the Bay Area as we speak. We had one booked, but we found out that it doesn't pay, so we bounced out immediately.

My hyper atheist, anti-christian ass played guitar for a church service this morning. It wasn't an awful experience, but I still wore my Iron Maiden t-shirt underneath my flannel. $150 is coming my way in a week in return. Can't complain too much about getting paid like that for a single gig.

Cool things! May there be many more.

I missed making my 20,000th post a thank you to everyone, but thanks to a reminder from Mr. Numbers I only missed it by a little.

I have met extraordinary people here and had my mind expanded considerably and learned new skills.

I offer my deep appreciation to everyone I have learned from.
