Blog Thread 5: A New Beginning
Thrillho:
Ostrich burgers were some of the best I'd ever tasted.
I'm vegetarian these days but had a garbage diet anyway, so all the bogus meat products that are made are great for me. I mean if you're a fan of a proper frank-style hot dog, then the vegetarian versions taste damn near identical because they're so processed anyway. Ditto any fake fried chicken strips.
I also strongly recommend the Linda McCartney-branded stuff.
Is it cold in here?:
My father got his first vaccine dose today.
I have a good friend who is caretaker to an octogenarian mother. They get vaccinated today.
pwhodges:
I am not vegetarian; but I don't like imitations because they're never quite right. However, I always liked the old "vegeburgers" (and matching sausages), because I simply liked them - they weren't anything like meat, and were all the better for it.
hedgie:
There are some really good ones that I enjoy as well.
Wombat:
I'm vegetarian as well. I like many of the imitations, though imitation white meat tends to be more iffy for me. Sometimes I prefer a good veggie burger to an imitation-meat burger (also, they tend to be cheaper). And when I tried breakfast sausage before becoming vegetarian, I never cared for it, but now I regularly eat a vegetarian alternative that I guess I just like more than the real thing.
