aw man, i saw the art today and thought "oh wow, i really like this!"
all the ladies having lips again adds.. i really don't know how to put this without sounding like an asshole, but it makes QC feel like a graphic novel. i like the cartoony style, but re-including details like that adds a kind of depth i appreciate. for some artists the crux of detail is whether or not they add in fingernails, but i guess for QC and Jeph it's lips. it balances Jeph's relaxed style (i.e. his doodles on tumblr) with a more proportionate style i really dig. the hair looks freakin' great on all counts too.
maybe i'm just a sucker for pseudo-realistic art. i like the definition of Claire's chin being more subtle. beforehand she's always been somewhat emblematic of Jeph's Everyone Has A Pointy Chin phase (good example here and here of Claire) which i've always found a bit jarring (maybe it's envy) because it made everyone look a bit gaunt.
tl;dr: the art's a nice change of pace!

The art's definitely good, but I feel like it takes so much away from Claire's character. Can you really imagine that Claire face dropping some sick puns?

My guess is she actually has done a proper one for Emily but has, as Heranje said, sent it off to her Adviser and given that one to Emily. She may be a bit of a Stoner, but deep down she really does know how to do her job properly or I doubt she would have lasted as long as she has in it.

I really preferred the old Claire with glasses. Maybe I'm just a stick in the mud.

With regards to the art, if you don't like it, wait two weeks. It'll probably have changed.
