There's a couple old threads but thought it'd make sense to make one for this year and early so people have a place to talk about costumes and ideas and maybe give and get advice if needed.

I have just bought the main component to my costume this year. There's one other thing to make it basically the character but I'm starting earlier than usual so I've time to fine tune the details.

Hint: It's one half of a couple costume and the couple are deathly romantic.

Anyone know what they're planning yet?

If I can figure out how to build the arm in time, I may shave off my mohawk and go as Furiosa.

We're having 3 days of Halloween at work. Star Wars day, Harry Potter day, and Story Book day. So one of those!

I really wanted to make a Rose Quartz costume, but I'm not going to have time.

This year its my job to come up with a couples costume for me and the wife. Could use some ideas.

Last year my Partner and I were Jay and Silent Bob.

My wig arrived and it's a standard cheapy shiny synthetic wig and I'm doing my first ever attempt at customising it. At the moment it's soaking to soften it and get some of the shine off. This is the hardest I've tried on a costume in a long time.

The Furiosa arm isn't working out, so I'm thinking I'll just go as Tank Girl again this year. It's pretty simple since it's not far from my normal look anyway. Lazy Halloween.

I kind of wish Australia did Halloween, even though it's a big excuse for businesses to push even more stuff we don't need down our throats. Idk. Much like one-hit-wonder Natalie Imbruglia, I'm torn.

I like Halloween stuff but I don't buy it unless I'm hosting and even then, I'm reluctant to put any up to prevent trick-or-treaters from thinking I'm a house they should visit. I usually go out as early as I can, even just to my parents house, to avoid dealing with answering/avoiding the door.

We don't really put anything up, inside of out, but the urge is strong this year. Not that we get trick or treaters, buy it wouldn't be for them, it'd be for me. It's my favorite holiday. I want a spooky yard damn it!

I lost enough weight this year that I can fit into my old boiler suit from college. Now I need to decide if I should dress up as Jason from Friday the 13th or Michael Myers when answering the door this year.

I would absolutely laugh. I still have problems getting my blood drawn, even though I have been a human pincushion within recent memory. Someone with fangs and talking like Bela Lugosi would make it so much more endurable.

I've been rethinking costume idea, and I think I might go with Deathface Ginny from Pretty Deadly. It'd be pretty simple, just need to get some suspenders and a cowboy hat and a little face paint.

My birthday is November 1st. For once we have a year where my birthday and Halloween are likely to be celebrated on different weekends. Makes a change.

After the work, ended up only going to a small gathering at friend's so just did half the makeup and no wig. No photos. Bleh.
