Just something that occurred to me last week: It was in the 1300s and 1400s strips (including the drink-sledding) when Northampton was last under a blanket of snow. Now, in strip 3325, the snow has returned. So, in the past 1900 or so strips of the past full in-universe year, what was the most significant to you (in either story terms, character terms or just personal enjoyment)?
As for me? I've got to say that it has been the increasing focus on AIs and their unique society and viewpoints (especially shown through May, Momo and Bubbles). However, I'd have to say that it was a near-run decision for me.
The second slot for me is The Space Station Arc, which was pretty much the highpoint of Hannelore's character arc where we see just how far she's come and just how much she has healed. The third is is occupied by Claireten (a relationship that is plotted out as such a normal relationship in comedic story that it becomes a testament to inclusivity).
Onto the possible direction of this week's strip: I'm seeing an Elliot/Brun date in the near future, probably played for laughs about the whole mad social song-and-dance of human romantic interest. However, that's further along. I'm expecting more cute Elliot stuttering and stumbling and poor Brun just not getting it. Let's face it; can anyone blame her for being confused?
FWIW, I think it is likely that Renee will end up losing her temper and ordering them to go out with each other, if only to get it out of Elliot's system so he can function again!
