To expand on that point. I may have posted this before, sorry if so.

The Atlantic: Free will is an illusion, but we need to keep that illusion

I find pontification on free will a bit baffling sometimes because, after going through reams of tortuous logic, you end up, like The Fool in the Tarot, back at the point where you began, acting just as you did when you believed when you had it.
