So I am not trying to ship any characters here by saying this, but does it seem to anyone else that Malaya may actually like Sal? Like I'm getting that tropey feeling of saying "Just fuck already" with Malaya trying to undermine Sal's "potential" mates. As if she's trying to sabotage, not necessarily because she doesn't like Sal, but to prevent competition of sorts. I'm not really putting much stock in it but its just a thought that crossed my mind.

Malaya is definitely trying to impress someone, even if it is only herself (basically, that this is all a huge self-esteem issue for her).
