So Asher called the cops, and the store clerk was willing to just let her leave until the cops came. When the cops came it escalated the situation that Sal felt she needed a hostage. She takes Ethan hostage, which is the catalyst for Blaine to drive Amber to stab Sal which created the "monster" she thinks she is. Amber is confronting the guy that pushed the first dominoes to create dark Amber.

As in the old Walkyverse, we see that Walky has a terrifying Bersek Button when those whom he loves are harmed. The question now is whether Amber will try to stop him from beating Asher into paste or whether she'll join in!
